Dismas first stepped into the mining industry in 2006, and from that moment his passion and ambition only grew stronger, reaching new heights over the years. With decades of experience to his name most of it spent in senior leadership roles, he has become a seasoned professional whose vision and expertise continue to shape the future of mining in Tanzania. He has played a pivotal role in shaping innovative mining projects across Tanzania, most notably as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of YAYA Resources, where he helped transform the company into a leading mining contracting powerhouse.

His career highlights include involved in establishing underground operations at the North Mara Gold Mine, championing fair community compensation of communities around the mines, and pioneering cashless systems that modernized site operations. He was instrumental in sustaining production during the challenges of Covid 19 and the 2019 Barrick Gold takeover of Acacia Mining PLC. He participated in offering free financial consulting to communities around the mines to empower them to work with foreign investors.
In 2020, Dismas co founded YAYA Resources, driving rapid growth and redefining local participation in Tanzania’s mining sector. Under his leadership, the company expanded at remarkable speed before his departure in June 2026 to embark on a new venture.
